As times are changing and budgets are shrinking, neighborhoods and communities all over need to band together now more than ever to aid local authorities in crime prevention and community safety. East Kessler Park has always been hailed for its safe neighborhood and family oriented environment, but lately even the safest of neighborhoods must be vigilant and prepared as crime continues to increase as city budgets decrease.
Please join us for our first in a series of Safety/Crime Prevention Meetings for EKPNA. We have invited a neighboring Crime Watch Program Chair who is also a board member of North Oak Cliff Police Patrol (NOCUPP). Also attending will be a Dallas Police Department officer who is also a long time NOCUPP officer.
For the first meeting, we will be discussing neighborhood crime statistics, neighborhood safety tips, recent break-ins & property theft and will allow a Q & A session afterwards.
We are encouraging all East Kessler Park residents to attend and bring their questions and concerns. Please share this information with your neighbors and encourage them to come. We are also seeking volunteers to serve on the East Kessler Park Neighborhood Association Crime Prevention Committee. If you cannot make the meeting and are interested in serving on the committee, please email Hope White (EKPNA Safety Director) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
